Driving, for many, represents independence. If
you’re seventeen or eighteen learning to drive can serve as a logical and practical beginning
to adulthood and the freedoms and responsibilities that go with it.
In brief you’ll need to:
get a provisional license
pass a theory test
take driving lessons
pass a practical test
exchange your provisional for a full license (this is now done for you
by the examiner on passing the practical test)
